Practice day
Share knowledge and present know-how
The starting shot for the "Geotechnical Practice Days" was given in June 2017. Students, representatives from universities, technical colleges and companies, but also engineering offices as well as national and international product manufacturers use the lectures and exciting workshops to experience all facets of geotechnical engineering up close, the latest technologies as well as looking at products from different manufacturers and trying them out.
"Share knowledge and present know-how". This is our concept. Our partner companies present their core competencies and provide a practical view of the theoretically learned basics in numerous workshops. They offer a wide range of geotechnical engineering. This includes various security solutions as well as machine, anchor and drilling techniques or shotcrete processes, useful information for workers at height and aerial photography and analysis.
Get involved yourself! At various practice stations you can lend a hand and get to know the most modern techniques. Because anyone who wants to meet the demands of flexible working environments today has to constantly update their knowledge and skills.
The exchange of knowledge as well as common networking are in the foreground during the practical days. The Geotechnical Practice Day - a must for practice-oriented vocational training and further education and a good opportunity to build a strong network in the industry.
Bozana Bacic,
research assistant at TU Dresden
"As I mainly work in science, it is good to get a detailed insight into practical experience. I particularly like the numerous examples that you can touch and try out. This is how you learn how to apply the techniques yourself."
Ralf Morath,
Managing Director Walter Bohr- und Injektionstechnik GmbH
"Here on the practical day we are presenting our entire range of services. The demand from the participants for our drilling and injection techniques as well as the wet spraying process is very high. We were able to answer many specific technical questions and address numerous planners and engineers. We draw a positive conclusion and would like to come back . "
Jolanda Pfeiffer,
BTU Cottbus
"My professor pointed out the Geotechnical Practice Day to me. I am pleasantly surprised how good this event is. At the university, we learn the theory, here at GEORADO we experience the practical day up close. The overall overview of all facets of the Geotechnics. I will definitely recommend the event to my fellow students. "
